An ode to those warm days at the park.
I don't have much to say about cozy games. They have one goal and that is to keep whoever is playing them away from their daily routine and worries. If they fail at that, then it's a bad cozy game. That doesn't mean it's a bad game, but it is a bad cozy game. Thankfully, Lil Gator Game excels at that. And then it hits you in the stomach with a weighted boxing glove right before the ending.
Throughout the game you'll find clear references and inspirations on the creators' childhood or just favorite games, series and anime. From "Phoenix Wright", "Monster Hunter" and the clear inspiration that kicks off the entire plot "The Legend of Zelda".
It's a nice lil game for you to sink your teeth in. If you've got siblings, I think the ending would be way more effective on you that it was on me. Pick it up during a sale and just kick back and enjoy.
